Tivo questions. Should I get it.?

You don't need cable to be able to use a tivo. You do need to get a digital antenna (which can be found for more or less $50 at Wal-Mart for example). You need to make sure your tv has a build in hdtv tuner which most if not all LCD (flat) tvs have. I recommend that you buy a tivo box from their clearance center (online). It is only $99 for the box and $12.99 per month (and the box is yours to keep). Time Warner's dvr are rented and not yours to keep. I am planning on getting rid of my cable too because you can get more or less 50-70 channels with the digital antenna and save $. Good luck :-)
